Switch
Unlike a pushbutton, a switch remains in its position after being pressed. Examples of switches are toggle switches, rotary switches or slide switches. The light switch is probably the best-known example.

Normally open and normally closed contacts
The normally open contact (NO) establishes a connection between two contacts, while the normally closed contact (NC) releases them.
