This mini DisplayPort adapter from Delock enables the connection of a DVI monitor to graphics cards with mini DisplayPort sockets, which have special recesses in the bezel above the sockets. The additional lug on the plug of the adapter snaps into the recess and thus prevents the adapter from being pulled out unintentionally.
