With this Power Over eSATA to SATA 22pin cable, you can connect your 2.5″ or 3.5″ SATA hard drive externally to any free Power Over (eSATAp) port. The Power Over eSATA connection combines eSATA and USB in one and enables a power supply of 5V via the integrated USB interface. This means that you do not need an additional power supply unit to operate a 2.5″ HDD. To connect a 3.5″ HDD, simply connect the Molex connector to a power supply unit.
