This DisplayPort cable is used to connect DisplayPort devices such as monitors or TV sets to your PC. The DisplayPort is a universal connection standard for the transmission of image and sound signals standardised by VESA. Areas of application are essentially the connection of screens and televisions to computers, DVD players and similar devices.

Thanks to the lack of a snap-in function, the plugs are somewhat slimmer than ordinary DisplayPort plugs, so several connections can be used at the same time to save space. In addition, the plugs can be pulled off more easily from hard-to-reach DisplayPort sockets, e.g. on the back of a monitor.
