Introduction
The industrial USB 3.2 hubs of the UPort® 400A series can expand one USB port to 4 or 7 USB ports. The hubs are designed to deliver true USB 3.2 Gen 1 SuperSpeed 5 Gbps data transfer rates through each port, even in high-load applications. The UPort® 400A has been awarded USB-IF SuperSpeed certification, indicating that the product is a reliable, high-quality USB 3.2 hub. In addition, the hubs fulfil the USB plug-and-play specification and deliver a full 900 mA of power per port, ensuring the proper functioning of your USB devices. The UPort® 400A hubs support a power supply range of 12 to 48 VDC, making them ideal for mobile applications. Externally powered USB hubs are the only way to ensure maximum compatibility with USB devices.

USB-IF certification
The industrial-grade UPort® 400A USB 3.2 USB hubs have been awarded USB-IF (USB Implementers Forum) certification. USB-IF tests a series of stringent electrical requirements for SuperSpeed USB operation of USB hubs designed to the USB 3.2/2.0 specification. This means that the UPort® 400A supports SuperSpeed USB 3.2 Gen 1 for USB transfer at up to 5 Gbps, fully complies with interoperability requirements, provides sufficient power for functioning devices and enables a smooth transition from sleep mode back to SuperSpeed operation.

ESD protection level 4
Electrostatic discharges (ESD) can be so severe that more than 1,000 volts ESD with a high rise time (dv/dt) can break through the barrier layer of protective devices. To prevent serious damage, Moxa’s UPort® 400A series USB hubs offer level 4 ESD protection (contact 8 kV, air 15 kV), which increases the quality and value of the user’s end product.

The UPort® 400A comes with a USB cable that has a latch and screw lock to provide a more secure connection between the UPort and your computer.
