The new PUCK range from Poynting offers a small profile antenna for use in IoT/M2M, smart meter, smart utilities, transport, marine and agriculture applications. The PUCK-7 consists of a 4-in-1 antenna system in a single housing with 2×2 MIMO 5G and 2×2 MIMO Wi-Fi (dual band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz). The 2x Cellular MIMO antennas (for 2G/3G/4G and 5G) provide broadband coverage from 617 to 6000 MHz and cover modern LTE/4G and 5G bands for future-proof deployment. The ultra-wideband performance of the cellular antennas enables deployment across different operators and technologies and is ready for future cellular technologies up to 6 GHz for 5G applications.
The antenna offers two separate dual-band WLAN antennas that simultaneously provide 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands and support 802.11n and 802.11ac/ax/be with 2×2 MIMO. The PUCK outperforms many competitors due to the careful design of this high performance antenna. The radiation patterns of all radiating elements provide an excellent balance between omnidirectional behaviour, pattern diversity and good radiation capabilities at the desired height, which is often overlooked in such a small antenna. Despite its small size, this antenna offers excellent performance, especially at the higher frequency bands where performance is critical for 5G and LTE throughput and connection stability. This antenna is designed with both 5G/LTE ports connected to the router/device to ensure the best performance.
