Universal data and telecommunications distributor with high load capacity for more demanding applications, with a wide range of dimensions and variants, a wide range of accessories and perfect workmanship of all details. It is usually supplied with perforated doors for better cooling. This can be supported by the installation of ventilation units in the roof or floor.
– High stability of the construction: The RDA has a robust welded construction made of 2 mm thick material. The high quality of workmanship and the latest technologies ensure the great appearance of the distributor.
– Flexible door opening:The hinge system allows the door to be opened by almost 165°. The doors can be easily removed and the door hinge changed. The double-leaf doors are fitted with plug-in hinges.
– Glass:The sheet metal doors with glued-in glass are made of 4 mm thick impact-resistant tempered glass. If broken, they shatter into many small splinters like car glass. For safety reasons, we recommend closing the solid glass door after installing components to avoid collision with other objects. The glass used has been tested in a certified test centre and meets the requirements of ÄŒSN EN 12150-1+A: Glass in building – Thermally toughened soda-lime silicate safety glass. The tested glass complies with the standard for disintegration after glass breakage, certificate of conformity CQ-24-2023, test report IKATES 58A- 2024.
– Triton swivelling lever handles:We manufacture our own swivelling lever handles for free-standing distributors. By replacing the plastic insert (not included in the accessory pack), a semi-cylindrical locking cylinder can also be used (optional accessory). Patent: PUV 2013-27443
–Adjustable vertical latching rails:The reinforced vertical 19″ latching rails are infinitely adjustable in the enclosure depth. This facilitates the installation of components and cable management.
– Removable side and rear panels:The RDA has a welded frame with removable side and rear panels. These are attached to the frame with keyed alike locks as standard (variants A1 and A5). The A3 and A7 variants are secured with countersunk security screws.
– Special doors for ventilation units:A special solid sheet metal door for the installation of the RAx-CH-X0x-X3 ventilation units can be ordered for this type of distributor. For more information, see the Active ventilation section.
– Break-out panels:The cable entries of the distributor are fitted with break-out panels (A1 and A5 variants). In the A3 and A7 variants, the covers are screwed on. They can be sealed against dust using the brush strip. An edge protector is used to protect the cables from damage (both are included in the accessory pack).
–Opening for the ventilation unit: The large opening, fitted with a clamping panel, allows a Triton fan panel to be fitted and removed from the outside without the need for screws.
– Castors, levelling feet Castors, levelling feet, plinth:The distributor can be installed on levelling feet (part of the accessory pack) using the optional equipment for plinths, castors or heavy-duty castors with support frame if necessary.
– Rear of the cabinet:There are two cable entries with break-out panels in the rear wall of the distributor, one at the top and the other at the bottom. Further cable entries are in the top and bottom of the cabinet.
– Ventilation slots in the frame:The RDA distributors have ventilation slots in the frame for the supply of cooling air to the installed components. Cooling can be supported by the installation of ventilation units.
– Earthing:All removable parts are interconnected and earthed in accordance with the relevant standard requirements.
– Flex Frame:The system enables the installation of adjustable rails at 19″, 21″ and 23″ spacing for 800 mm wide enclosures. Another option is to move the verticals at 19″ intervals to one side and thus have more space on the other side
.
–Centre pair of vertical mounting rails:For distribution boards with a depth of over 800 mm, we supply a third pair of vertical mounting rails as standard, which do not interfere with the installation of deeper components thanks to their open profile. Shorter components can be attached to the centre verticals using various types of brackets (optional accessories).
–Wide frame support elements:The wide frame support elements are designed for the additional installation of accessories, e.g. socket strips or vertical cable management panels, which do not take up any 19″ space in the distribution board. Thanks to the well thought-out mounting, socket strips are no obstacle to the use of extendable servers, even in 600 mm wide enclosures.
–Accessories in the support elements:The supports have mounting openings on the inside over the entire height. The openings have the same U spacing as the verticals and can be used to mount certain accessories.
– Support elements for versions A5 and A7:The enclosure versions “A5” and “A7” (at the end of the distributor code) have break-out panels in the support elements to allow cables to be pulled through between neighbouring enclosures (see data sheet).
Optional accessories
– RAC-VP-D5x-X1: Horizontal cable routing struts for installation on the enclosure frame (support).
– RAX-VP-Vxx-X2: Vertical cable duct for installation on the enclosure frame.
– Socket strips: Socket strips can be installed on the supports of the distribution board using brackets (optional accessories).
– Swivel frame: Socket strips can be installed on the enclosure frame using brackets (optional accessories). Swivelling frame: The 800 mm wide RDA distributors can be fitted with a swivelling frame with a load capacity of 150 kg. The maximum installation depth for 19″ accessories is 330 mm.
