8080-010O - Patchcable Cat.8.1, S/FTP, 1m, orange

The halogen-free Cat. 8.1 patch cable with slim snap-in lug protection is capable of up to 40 gigabits and is therefore also suitable for demanding network connections.

Cat. 8.1 technology offers a number of improvements over previous copper-based network solutions. Data rates of up to 10 Gbit/s are no longer sufficient in many cases. Faster fibre optic solutions are unsuitable for widespread use due to the high costs. Cat. 8.1 patch cables are also suitable for 25 Gbit/s and 40 Gbit/s Base-T Ethernet networks, so that several 10 Gbit/s Base-T links no longer have to be interconnected to form a single logical connection. This means fewer ports and therefore less space are needed, both of which are precious in data centres. The max. bandwidth has also increased to 2000 MHz / 2 GHz.

The conductor of this patch cable consists of 99.99 % oxygen-free copper (OFC). This high-quality cable construction enables optimal signal transmission and higher breaking strength of the cable. For perfect signal transmission, the RJ45 plugs are shielded and equipped with 50 µ gold-plated copper contacts.

The S/FTP shielding (PiMF) of the cable and the shielded RJ45 plugs ensure a consistently high and loss-free signal transmission.

In contrast to PVC cables, the Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) cable sheath causes only very low levels of toxic fumes and smoke development in the event of a fire. This makes the cables ideal for indoor installation - they are mandatory in public areas.

The Cat. 8.1 patch cables are fully downward compatible with previous versions with RJ45 connectors. This means they can be integrated into existing installations without any problems.
