88610 - PCI Express x4 card to 4 x RJ45 Gigabit LAN i350 port bypass
The PCI Express card from Delock offers four network ports with a transmission rate of up to 1000 Mbps.
Bypass mode to ensure network continuity
The four ports are organised into 2 groups that can be connected together to form a bypass. Bypass mode is automatically activated when an IPS failure, BIOS boot or operating system or application program error is detected. When a failure is detected, mechanical relays switch network traffic to flow through the second port of the pair on the adapter, bypassing the problematic server appliance and maintaining continuity. This can be used in server appliances such as intrusion prevention or internal security gateways. The bypass circuit also works in the event of a power failure, so the network connection is always maintained even if the server is switched off.
