There are many potential causes of fire in one's own four walls. Smoke detectors can save lives. In the event of a fire or smoke development, every second counts in order to extinguish small fires immediately and to quickly bring yourself and others to safety. The POPP smoke alarm with controllable siren version 1.2 reliably detects developing fires and smoke. In an emergency, it sounds an acoustic alarm and automatically sends a signal to all POPP smoke detectors within range so that they are also triggered. This so-called meshing works completely automatically and without additional configuration. This ensures that all persons, even on another floor, or at night while sleeping, hear the alarm sound.

Thanks to Z-Wave radio networking, you can have further actions carried out via the Smart Home control panel in the event of an alarm. Secure escape routes by automatically lighting them, raising blinds and shutters and unlocking doors. If an electrical device (e.g. iron) is the cause of the alarm, it can be switched off automatically (must be connected to a smart radio plug).

Beyond the smoke alarm function, this Z-Wave device can also be used as an independent indoor siren and integrated into an existing security system. You can link the smoke alarm with other sensors such as window and door contacts or motion detectors in your Z-Wave Smart Home independently of the control centre. In the event of an alarm, an alarm will sound with a different acoustic signal than in the event of a fire.
