The MGate 5135/5435 gateways are industrial Ethernet gateways with 1 or 4 ports for Modbus RTU/ASCII/TCP and EtherNet/IP network communication. To integrate existing Modbus devices into an EtherNet/IP network, use the MGate 5135/5435 gateway as a Modbus client to collect and exchange data with the EtherNet/IP host. All models are protected by a robust and compact metal housing, can be mounted on a DIN rail and offer integrated serial isolation. The robust design is suitable for industrial applications such as factory automation, energy, oil and gas, water and wastewater and other process automation industries.

Easy configuration
The MGate 5135/5435 gateways are equipped with a web console that enables easy configuration without the need to install an additional utility. In addition, the HTTPS encryption of communication ensures greater network security. In most data acquisition applications, configuring devices with Modbus commands can be time-consuming and costly. The MGate 5135/5435 gateways offer offline configuration via a CSV file so that Modbus settings can be made quickly. The MGate gateways also offer software configurable pull high/low and termination resistor settings for RS-485 2-wire to reduce the effort and need to open the enclosure.

Easy troubleshooting
The MGate 5135/5435 gateways offer a variety of maintenance features to reduce the time and cost of troubleshooting, including LED indicators, log diagnostics, traffic monitor and tag view. These tools help you collect and review data to easily identify the cause of problems, especially during the installation phase. The MGate gateways also have status monitoring and error protection functions. The status monitoring function notifies a PLC/PLS/SCADA system if the connection to a Modbus device is interrupted or if it does not respond. In this case, the process PLC/PLS receives the status of each end device and then issues alarms to inform the operators. The fault protection function performs actions predefined by the user when a host is disconnected to prevent the end devices from being offline for an extended period of time.
