AQAZMS-S02 - Aqara Motion Sensor P1 Zigbee

The Aqara Motion Sensor P1 detects body movements and the state of the ambient light. If people move or the state of the ambient light changes in the detected areas, the motion sensor sends a notification to the Aqara Home app via the connected Aqara Zigbee 3.0 Hub or a connection to other devices.

Configurable timeout for detection
Finally, the timeout for detection can be configured without hardware modification. Simply set any timeout from 1 to 200 seconds, confirm it by pressing the device button, and the P1 will no longer get stuck for one minute as before. (Please note: Reducing the detection timeout will result in a shorter battery life)

Up to 5 years battery life*
Thanks to the energy-saving technologies and improved batteries, the P1 motion sensor can now achieve a record-breaking battery life of up to five years, ensuring a long service life even in particularly low temperatures or lightning-fast detection timeouts. *The up to 5-year battery life is achieved when the LED indicator function is switched off and the detection time is no less than 30 seconds.

All-round compatibility
Compatible with the most popular smart home ecosystems. HomeKit, Alexa, IFTTT and more are supported. Matter support will be available as an OTA update for Aqara hubs after the official release of the specification.

170° field of view
Extra wide field of view, 170° for up to 2 metres and 150° for up to 7 metres. Thanks to the versatile 360-degree stand, the viewing angle can also be adjusted so that only movements in the desired area (e.g. bed or washbasin) are detected.

Adjustable sensitivity (distance)
The user can set how sensitive the sensor should be. Three sensitivity modes (high, medium and low) relate to the distance from which the sensor is triggered, which can help to reduce false alarms and make the installation more flexible.

Built-in light sensor
The light sensor built into the P1 can be used to control the lighting more precisely. For example, only switch on the light when it is dark and motion is detected to save energy and extend the life of the lamps.

Smart home automations
The motion sensor is a natural part of most smart home automations: Configure the IF conditions as well as the THEN actions, and many routine tasks such as switching on the lights, opening the curtains or controlling the TV are automated. Aqara Zigbee 3.0 hub and controller are required for this functionality.

Local and remote alarm
Thanks to the Aqara Home Alert system, the P1 motion sensor can become a reliable security device: Configure away mode in the app and enjoy constant monitoring, local sound and light alarms and cloud notifications if motion is detected. Or use it in HomeKit or other supported systems for the same purpose.

Future-proof through OTA
The sensor now supports OTA updates, which means that new features and bug fixes can be added after the product is released.
