This KVM switch by Delock is a practical solution to operate two computers with DisplayPort output on one DisplayPort monitor.

Furthermore, mouse and keyboard can be connected via two USB 2.0 ports, and hard disks or USB storage devices can be connected via two USB 5 Gbps ports.
Multi-Stream Transport (MST)
Support for MST (Multi-Stream Transport) allows multiple monitors to be used at the DisplayPort output with an optional MST hub.
Note
MST (Multi-Stream Transport) requires either monitors capable of DisplayPort daisy-chaining or an active DisplayPort MST hub. The PC source must be compatible with DisplayPort MST.
