This serial adapter for cable extension from Delock is suitable for all serial interfaces. It connects devices such as printers, computers, gateways, cash register systems etc.. The adapter thus offers a simple solution for transmitting serial data, e.g. from RS-232/422/485 interfaces, with a Cat.5 cable within an existing cable infrastructure.

A standard cable, e.g. of category 5 (Cat.5), with its quality has much better line properties than a standard RS-232 cable. It enables higher data rates to be transmitted without additional signal amplification and larger distances to be bridged without interference.
