This converter from Delock can be integrated into the system via the SFF-8654 interface and provides a PCI Express x16 slot. Various PCI Express cards can be connected to the slot.

PCI Express x16 with 8 lanes
The converter supports four PCIe lanes per SFF-8654 port and thus offers a maximum of 8 lanes. It is therefore possible to use the converter with only one SFF-8654 port, provided that the respective PCI Express card only requires a maximum of four PCIe lanes.

PCIe bifurcation
The converter can be connected to a PCI Express card that has the PCIe bifurcation function to provide eight lanes (x4 + x4) at the PCIe x16 slot. This means that PCI Express cards with bifurcation function can be connected to the PCI Express slot of the converter, e.g. to connect two M.2 or U.2 SSDs.
