This active USB cable by Delock is used to extend a USB connection by 5 metres. The cable has an additional DC power socket to which an optional power supply unit can be connected. This ensures optimal data transfer even when used with powerful devices, such as a 2.5″ hard drive.

Note
The cable cannot transmit video signals, so it is not possible to connect a USB Type-C™ monitor.
