This docking station from Delock can be connected to a MacBook with two Thunderbolt™ 3 ports next to each other, e.g. on the MacBook Pro. It is also possible to insert one of the two USB-C™ connectors into the housing, in which case the docking station can also be connected to other devices such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop. A monitor with 4K 30 Hz can be operated at the HDMI output. An integrated USB Type-C™ port and two USB Type-A ports enable the use of peripheral devices.

One of the two USB-C™ sockets is coupled with the retractable USB-C™ plug. This means that when this is extended (when used on the MacBook), the full function of the USB-C™ interface is available on the USB-C™ socket (pass-through). This port can be used to transfer data at 10 Gbps, charge the device (PD 3.0), or connect another monitor with a resolution of up to 4K 60 Hz. In addition, as with MST, two additional monitors can be operated independently of each other (extended display).
If the docking station is only operated with a USB Type-C™ connection, the USB-C™ (pass-through) socket has no function.

In addition, the docking station with integrated card reader adds an SD and a Micro SD slot to mobile devices via the USB Type-C™ port.
The docking station has a USB Type-C™ Power Delivery Port, to which the power supply of the notebook or tablet can be connected to charge it. The docking station can also be used without a power supply unit.

Due to its small dimensions and sturdy housing, this Delock docking station is particularly suitable for travelling. It can simply be packed together with the notebook in the bag and used when needed.
