The HEXBIT is a 3/16″ nut driver bit optimized for DB9/D-Sub hex nuts. 1/4″ hex end fits common electric screwdrivers. Anywhere D-Sub connectors are found.

For the electric screwdriver, we are happy with the Bosch GSR 10.8 V-EC HX , but almost anything that takes 1/4″ hex bits will work. In our experience, common 3/16″ nuts are too deep for hex nuts, and their diameter is usually too large to fit without rubbing the connector shell.
