The special feature of the shielding is that it is protecting the
antenna especially from interference sources within households such as a microwave ovens, wireless phones, baby sitter walky-talky monitors and similar devices. The shielding is significantly lowering the
radio-frequency interference from the left, right & backside of the
antenna. The product is protecting the signal mostly in the desirable
range.
